The statistics on world hunger are staggering, particularly for children. There are 45 – 55 children in an orphanage in Myanmar (Southeast Asia), who literally pray for their “daily bread” every day.
Our goal is to enlist 300 people/families in Gideon’s Army, who will contribute $108 per year so that these children will have food to eat every day. You can also make a one-time gift if you prefer.
The operating expenses of Cheerful Givers, Inc. (based on 300 enlistees) is less than 3% of total contributions and are comprised of CPA preparation of tax returns, legal counsel (as needed), and website charges. PayPal fees are additional and vary depending on the method of payment, but not more than 2.9% of the donation plus $0.30 transaction fee. Although Cheerful Givers Inc. is registered as a non-profit corporation in New York State, contributions are not tax deductible.
